Chiesa dell’Annunziata – Church of the Annunziata

La chiesa oratorio chiamata anche chiesa del Cristo Morto, è documentata già nel 1334, ma dal 1163 il sito era sede della chiesa parrocchiale di S. Bartolomeo.
Fu ristrutturata nel 1641, mentre l’attuale aspetto risale al 1860

Esternamente presenta un arco circondato da putti. Tra il 1878 e il 1901 venne decorata internamente ad affresco dal pittore perugino Domenico Bruschi con le storie delle figure femminili bibliche.

In una di queste, l’ultima, dedicata al personaggio di Anna, è presente l’autoritratto del pittore.

The church oratory, also known as church of the Dead Christ is already seen in documents in 1334, but it is since 1163 that has been parochial church of S. Bartolomeo.

It was restructured in 1641, while the present building dates to 1860.

Externally an arch encircled by cherubs. Between 1878 and 1901 the interior  was wholly frescoed by the painter from Perugia Domenico Bruschi with the description of the life of biblical female figures, In one of these, the last one dedicated to the character of Anna, the self-portrait of the painter.
